The Work
When we work, are we really working?
What is work? When we live, we are into the process of Survival. To survive, we need food, dress and settlement. Food and Settlement are more important than dress but our sixth sense makes it more important. Three basics and the life becomes peaceful. But… are we giving a full stop there?
The comfort zone comes in, Instead of settlement, we look for own house. Instead of walk, we want cycle, two wheeler, car, Premium cars, ships and own flights. Instead of a basic dress, we add more designs, quality and comfort. Nothing is wrong. But it becomes wrong. When? Exactly when we ‘do’ work to get all these. Now working becomes ‘doing’ the work.
There is an another world called – Passion. Leaving all these Food, Settlement and Dress, to secondary status and ‘living’ the work. When you ‘live’ the work, the external world comes to an end. The internal world lives the work, lives every second and reaches a peak that is incomparable. Only those who are passionate can relate the previous line.
Yesterday I read a Story. At the age of 29, a youngster died because of heart attack. There may be several reasons for this but work related pressure stands as one reason. (Recently, I am hearing many such death due to heart attack at twenty to thirty age!). When we ‘work’ for the sake of someone, we find a dis’ease’ inside our being. This is where stress forms up and it leads to many new lifestyles – starting from reaching out to bad habits, to unhappy married life, to crimes, to every negative activity.
Work can never be acting, because it’s a beautiful way of living.
I met one flower seller, an aged female, sells flower for daily living. She said … “I don’t sell flowers. Do you think I sell flowers? I sell happiness. Flowers represent happiness. People buy happiness from me. Flower is just a material. By selling happiness, I become happy. Every day I go back home with a happiness of selling happiness in all possible ways. Sometimes when it’s not selling fully, I assume that people already have happiness at their home! And I am so happy about their happiness in any ways! “
Makes sense?
Are we ‘doing’ work or Are we ‘living’ work?
Time to think?
But there is something I can assure you. When you live your work, you may find me standing next to you. Would love to meet you there. Welcome my dear passionate beings!
