Zen-Ceptions / Sunset Chaser
Its been two decades. Yes. For Two decades, I have been chasing Sunset, if I come across it in my journeys. A Sunset is a beautiful form of saying bye to a day. A day uncovers itself with lot of experiences. It teaches some new learning and it deletes some existing learning. It also demolishes existing beliefs and installs new belief. A lot more can happen between a Sunrise & Sunset.
When we come across a Sunset, from today, we may choose to sit in front of it. Let us enjoy the horizontal ‘downward’ movement of that distant Red Ball with different colors and shades. We also can enjoy the shades of clouds glittering around. With these, our mind slowly settles at a space, where it starts to reflect itself what happens on that day. While enjoying the Sunset, the mind slowly detaches itself from the visuals and start to understand what happened on that day. Few Good things and Few bad things. Whatever. Mind re-lives and takes note of it. It deletes the useless and installs the useful again. So what this has to do with watching Sunset ?
Simple. With Sunset, the darker, useless memories too disappears. Useful brighter memories getting installed inside. But if we focus ONLY on Sunset. Yes. Sunset has such a natural effect on our thinking, memories and beliefs. A lot can happen over a Sunset. Such is its strength. It gives you a natural feel of deleting useless and installing useful – day to day.
Well.. If we sit and watch the Sunset truly, then, I guess the above mentioned can be easily understood by us.
Shall we ?
Shall we spend some time to watch our Sunset ? Everyday ? As much as possible ?
